Just watched this again, i just wish Hot toys did Thor's pre golden armour suit that has the Fur cape and looked like the Roadworn suit. I honestly prefer that one the most.

They’re using pleather so much it’s starting to feel intentional, like they know how awful pleather, I would like to hear hot toys’s explanation on why they use pleather instead of sculpted plastic or anything other than that goddamn pleather

what head sculpt did you end up going with ik its kina dated but I would personally go with the xensation one because even though the purple isn't accurate I prefer the scared side being darker though if you want it accurate I feel like the toyz turbo one the face is to bright I think from the mars toys promo images that's going be a more accurate colour for the scared side (dang mars toys are hitting it out of the park) and prob the figure I'm going to go with next time I have the money to be able to get these things lol

to anyone that have this and the bumblebee prime dlx. which one is the best when it comes to amount of details, paint? which is more badass or you prefer? to me the bumblebee looks like the closest to G1 while the rotb is in between G1 and bayverse. if you guys will just have to pick one which prime will you get for optimal display?

I think that overall this is a pretty amazing figure, but will absolutely admit the headsculpt does not look fully accurate to SLJ. I will say however, that the headsculpt actually reminds me of the Clone Wars Anakin headsculpt. I mean this in the sense that it looks like animated Mace Windu made real. Even though those character’s likeness is based off of the prequel actors, I feel like they take a slight liberty to mix the appearances on some figures. This seems least apparent on Obi Wan however, where he seems to look the closest to his IRL counterpart.

A discount is a must since he doesn’t have any sand 😂 I do have to say that this figure looks great, that new style of box with the open window really makes this even better

Is it me or does the face on the rooted head look dirtier? InArt needs to make Brego.

The rooted version looks like Viggo if they called him 1 year later for some reshoots. His hairstyle would look a little different from when he did the bulk of principal photography. We can see this in many movies, where it's obvious which shots are reshoots. Anyway, all I am saying is that I think this looks fantastic, but you really need to futz with the hair to get it right. The rooted version looks great no doubt. But it's "potential" for hyper realism is limited. Whereas the rooted can get closer to reality. Needs work though on our part as collectors. We have to remember the people working on the production versions are not the prototype artist, they won't have limitless time to get it perfect. So I think what they have achieved is really great. Can't wait to get my non-influencer batch many months from now!

One thing that would make this figure even better is if Hot Toys released the AotC swoop bike for him to ride!

I really hope they go back and fix it with a 2.0! More accessories, better cape, and a WHOLE NEW suit over his body to cover up those disgusting joints! This literally looks like a cheap kids toy to be put next to all the unsold barbies on shelves. 😂

Looks absolutely nothing like the actor. It's shockingly generic at every angle.

The sculpted Hair does it for me. I do absolutely Viggo Mortensen in that. The other head Looks more Like Rollo from Vikings for me.
